AHC RETREAT 2024

Archdiocese of Manila Association of Hospital Chaplains and Chaplaincy Ministers on annual retreat. Please say a short prayer for all of us as we pray for you! May love and selfless service be the fruit of our prayer.
As Mother Teresa said, “The fruit of silence is prayer, the fruit of prayer is faith, the fruit of faith is love, the fruit of love is service, the fruit of service is peace.”
Prayer, love, and service are interconnected expressions of faith that enrich spiritual and human life. Prayer, a direct communication with the divine, fosters a deeper connection to God or the transcendent, helping individuals reflect on their purpose and cultivate inner peace. It serves as a foundation for love, which in its highest form is selfless and unconditional, transcending personal desires to focus on the well-being of others.
This love naturally leads to service. When one prays and embodies genuine love, it flows outward into acts of service. Serving others, whether through small acts of kindness or larger commitments, is an expression of love in action. It reflects a recognition of the shared dignity of all people and the interconnectedness of humanity.
Thus, prayer deepens one’s connection with the divine, love fills the heart with compassion, and service puts that compassion into tangible action. Together, they form a cycle that enriches both the individual and the community. God bless everyone!
