Lazarus, (“God Has Helped”) The miraculous story about Lazarus being resurrected by Jesus is known from the Gospel According to John (11:1-45). Lazarus of Bethany was the brother of Martha and Mary and lived in Bethany, near Jerusalem. The account mentions that Jesus loved Lazarus and his sisters and when Lazarus died of illness, Jesus wept and was “deeply troubled.” Although Lazarus had been buried for four days when Jesus came to Bethany, Jesus raised him from the dead and came out of the tomb wearing his burial clothes. This miracle, witnessed by many Jews who came to mourn with the family, inspired many to believe in Jesus as the Christ.
The DASH (dying/depressed, abandoned/aged, sick/suffering, handicapped/hopeless) need to be reached and visited to make them feel that God does not abandon them and continues to love them despite their weakness. Through this project, they may find God who always helps them with their needs whether it is physical or spiritual.
This is a program for the Sick who are visited by PLHCM.
To experience that the Church does not abandon them.
To bring Jesus to the sick and needy, especially the DASH.
To help their needs (Pastoral and Spiritual).
