PLHCM RECOLLECTION

The Parish Lay Health Care Ministers in the Archdiocese of Manila had a meaningful and spiritually enriching experience during their annual General Assembly on September 21, 2024.

The theme, “Follow Me: Those who are well do not need a physician, but the sick do” (Matthew 9:12), is a powerful reminder of the importance of caring for the sick and the vulnerable. The talks by Rev. Fr. Ding Serdeña and Rev. Fr. Manuel S. Abogado III likely provided valuable insights and reflections on Jesus’ Spirituality and the role of Health Care Ministers in living out their faith.

The reflection on the Suffering of Jesus on the Cross and the veneration of the Cross was likely a poignant moment for the participants, allowing them to connect with the suffering of Christ and the suffering of those they care for.

The celebration of the Holy Eucharist at the conclusion of the General Assembly was a fitting way to bring the event to a close, nourishing the spiritual lives of the participants and sending them forth to continue their important work as Health Care Ministers.
